The beautiful Georgian city of Bath offers

so much to see that it has to be on the

'must do' list.

 

Easily accessed along the A4, or take the bus from just around the corner, the historic city offers excellent shopping, all manner of markets and truly beautiful architecture.

 

The Thermae Spa, Roman Baths, Royal Crescent, Pulteney Bridge, Theatre Royal and many excellent restaurants and pubs are all on offer... or for a more leisurely experience, head towards the canal, Sydney Gardens, Parade Gardens or Victoria Park.

Within easy reach of the Georgian city of Bath (8 miles), Junction 17 of the M4

(6 miles) and a number of attractions, Bellwood is a great base for sightseeing.

Local Attractions

A short drive away is Lacock village, which dates from the 13th century. It has many limewashed half-timbered and stone houses and makes for a fascinating wander. Lacock was used as a location in the TV and film productions of Pride and Prejudice, Moll Flanders and Emma. The Abbey also featured in the recent Harry Potter films.The Fox Talbot Museum is also a popular attraction.

Just 15 minutes drive from Bellwood you will find another beautiful Cotswold village; Castle Combe, which has been described as 'the prettiest in England'.

 

As well as being picture perfect, Castle Combe also boasts a racing circuit for the more adventurous.

Closer to home is Corsham Court - a privately owned house open to visitors. It offers a significant art collection and has origins dating to the Elizabethan period, with gardens and parkland designed by Capability Brown.

 

However.. if you're after something on the wild side,

Longleat Safari Park is well worth the 45 minute

drive for an exciting day out with the big cats and more.
